Now featuring the all-new Atlas Snowshoes proprietary Free Rotating Suspension (FRS) system, the 2012 Atlas Elektra 8 FRS women's snowshoes are the ultimate high-quality beginner snowshoe at a superb value. The Free-Rotating Suspension system gives the binding the ideal amount of free rotation so that when you take a step, the tail stays low to the ground allowing snow to shed off the tail. The result is a very efficient stride, allowing you to snowshoe longer at peak performance levels. The built in Forward Limiter prevents the shoe from over rotating resulting in a smooth, free stride without shin bang.
The no-fuss, no hassle Strapp Binding System on the women's Atlas Elektra 8 snowshoes deliver excellent arch support and keeps the foot firmly held in place. Nytex decking is durable yet soft, for more quiet steps. Tempered steel Twin-Trac Toe Crampons and Heel-Cleats penetrate deep and ensure confidence when climbing and descending hills on moderate terrain.
