Just in time for the 2010 snowshoe racing season comes the all-new ultimate secret weapon -- the direct mount 2010 Crescent Moon Blanks Racing Snowshoes. USSSA sanctioned. For the absolute upperhand in elite snowshoe racing competitions, premium featherweight lightness, direct mounting running sneakers and total energy transfer and efficiency is essential. The Crescent Moon Blanks racing snowshoes deliver in all respects via the lightest weight frame and decking that retains maximum, lasting durability. The snowshoes are stripped down to 'racing flats', eliminating the bindings and allowing your running sneakers to be directly mounted to the snowshoe deck and front crampon.
The pair of Crescent Blanks ship with the rear crampon claw attached, while the front crampon claw is used to anchor your running sneakers to the snowshoe deck through the support strap. All sneaker mounting hardware is included. Running sneaker mounting is an easy assembly process: Simply drill two holes in the sole of each sneaker at the ball of the foot/pivoting point (give or take 1/4" depending on your personal preference and running style). Then insert two of the included bolts per frame first through the two holes in sneaker sole of the running shoe, then through the snowshoe frame deck support strap (both layers), next the crampon claw, then the snow shield, and then finally secure everything using the included “T” nuts to the end of each bolt. The snowshoes and front crampon claws are right and left specific and are clearly indicated as such. BOTTOM LINE: If performing to your absolute best possible potential in elite snowshoe races is your objective, then the Crescent Moon Blanks racing snowshoes are the weapon of choice for you!
RECOMMENDED USE: Latest state-of-the-art advancements in snowshoe racing design and uncompromising attention to featherweight lightness and efficiency for extremely fast running on packed snow surfaces in elite snowshoe racing events.
