Small, feather light, and built to last, the Crescent Moon Gold 12 is a running / racing / fitness snow shoe that excels in packed snow and icy conditions. Because flotation isn’t a concern on packed snow, traction and support are the key elements and the Gold 12 is optimized to deliver in both categories. Unisex design and universally fits runners of all sizes and weights. The Crescent Moon Gold 12 snowshoes feature a lightweight SPL (Single Pull Loop) race binding that can accommodate all types of snowshoe running and racing footwear up to size 14. One pull of the loop tightens the polymer gel harness around the forefoot and distributes even pressure in all directions while conforming to the profile of any sneaker, shoe or boot. A quick adjustment to the ratcheting heel strap locks the foot firmly in place. Spring loaded cam buckles will hold adjustment throughout each stride during in the most rigorous workout or competition.
Solid, reliable traction comes by way of three crampons placed under the heel, ball of foot, and exclusive to all Crescent Moon snowshoes, the toe area. Because the toe region is the last part of the foot to leave the ground, the addition of the toe claw greatly enhances traction by maintaining contact with the ground throughout all phases of the stride, resulting in unmatched control. The Gold 12 racing-running showshoes sport an ultra lightweight, aircraft grade aluminum frame that is powder coated for added protection and eliminates ice buildup. Also provides and an enhanced aesthetic. To keep the weight at an absolute minimum, the Gold 12 running-racing snowshoes are built with lightweight, earth-friendly decking and aluminum crampons.
