The Dion Deep Cleats have longer "fangs" than the Dion Standard Cleats for improved traction in deeper snow and steeper terrain. A superb all-around performance choice. Made of lightweight aluminum alloy with an impregnated Teflon coating to prevent ice and snow build up that can add unwanted weight, these durable cleats are designed to provide a secure grip in all types of snow and terrain. Part of Dion Snowshoes unique interchangeable system, the Dion Deep Cleats are easily removed for switching out / replacing with the shorter "fang" Dion Snowshoes Standard Cleats for high-performance on fast, hard-pack snow surfaces.
Teflon coating is impregnated onto the surface so it will never scratch off.
ATTENTION: Lightweight users (under 150 lbs) often times prefer the Dion Deep Cleat even on groomed trails as it provides better traction in many cases.
