The lightest snowshoe racing cleats available, the Dion Standard Cleats are made of lightweight aluminum alloy with an impregnated Teflon coating to prevent ice and snow build up that can add unwanted weight, these durable snowshoe racing cleats are designed to provide a secure grip on ice, groomed and hard packed surfaces. The best option for snowshoe racing and anyone demanding the most technically advanced and lightweight equipment available for snowshoe running and racing. Part of Dion Snowshoes unique interchangeable system, the Dion Standard Cleats are easily removed for switching out / replacing with the longer "fang" Dion Snowshoes Deep Cleats for high-performance in deeper snow and steeper terrain.
Teflon coating is impregnated onto the surface so it will never scratch off.
ATTENTION: Lightweight users (under 150 lbs) often times prefer the Dion Deep Cleat even on groomed trails as it provides better traction in many cases over the Dion Standard Cleat for lightweight runners.
